This mode can be a bit harsh, but for people who love a challenge – this is the ultimate mode to choose! Like any good MMORPG, Shaiya has plenty of beautiful locations for you to explore and quests for you to do in order to level up. This means that once your character dies, due to whatever reason, your character is effectively dead (like in real life) and you would have to start all over again. Similarly to Diablo 3’s hardcore mode, players who chose the ultimate mode will enjoy better gear drops and some perks at the cost of permanent death. The interesting part is the ultimate mode. Basic mode has all the usual MMORPG stuff. After choosing your faction and class, you will then be prompted to choose a mode – either basic or ultimate.
Skill points will gradually become limited as you reach higher levels, forcing you to choose to upgrade or learn spells that will fit into your spell rotation or is suitable for your play style. Stat points are used to increase your stats (Strength, REC, intellect, wisdom, dexterity and luck) depending on what your class needs, while skill points are needed for you to learn new spells or to upgrade existing ones. Every level up will earn you two types of points – stat points and skill points. In addition to having class specializations, Shaiya also has a very unique skills system. The game features 2 factions, the alliance of light or the union of fury, and 6 different character classes, which include fighter, defender, ranger, archer, mage and priest, the archetypes of a usual MMORPG. Fight other players in challenging battlegrounds for the glory of your faction! Shaiya is a MMORPG that have the familiar questing, player-vs-player and dungeon raiding routine of a classic MMORPG, but it adds its own polish to the game, making it a rather unique MMORPG.
